Maddie learned to walk while I wasn’t there.
In October, I started working again, freelancing full time so that we could have a little extra for Christmas. While I was doing that, I was also helping my sister out by paying her to watch my little girl once or twice a week so that I could really concentrate and not have to work every night.
Then it happened. She came home one day, and started walking around.
My sister, bless her, had worked with her for about a month on walking. Me and my husband also helped her, and we got to see her first wibbly wobbly steps, but she came home that day from my sisters and walked like she had been doing it forever.
It’s a little sad, but it was thrilling for my sister so I will let her have this one. Kind of a Cat’s in a Cradle moment for us though…
Maddie loves hanging out with her. She’s a great aunt, and sometimes baby girls needs a day or two away from her brother who hasn’t quite decided if he likes her yet – ha!
